Summary

The Varian TrueBeam system combines imaging, radiation delivery and motion management to provide accurate and efficient radiation treatments. It delivers radiation beams that conform to the shape of the tumor. It is used to treat many disease sites.

Technical Specifications

The Varian TrueBeam system features multiple photon and electron beam energies, a multi-leaf collimator (MLC) capable of shaping fields up to 40 cm in length, accurate integrated imaging capabilities, a treatment couch with six degrees of freedom for the most accurate patient alignments possible, and the Varian Optical Surface Monitoring System. All our TrueBeam systems are capable of delivering treatments correlated with the patient’s breathing motion.

We have TrueBeam systems at University Hospital in Treatment Room A as well as at our East Clinic facility.
