At the July NRG Oncology conference in Philadelphia, Dr. Anderson provided a “Radiation 101” presentation to over 400 NRG Oncology Clinical Research Associates and Clinical Research Nurses. These research staff members were part of an in-person audience, but additionally there was a virtual component which reached CTNs and CRAs all across the world (Canada, Japan, and others). Many NRG trials have some component of radiation, but not all research team members understand the basics of radiation so Dr. Anderson’s presentation provided a great overview and insight to what it takes to treat a patient with radiation from start to finish.
